Are you a jet-setter?
In my opinion, the term jet-setter identifies an individual who does a lot of traveling either for business or for leisure. I don't know if I'm a jet-setter... I'll just say that I earn a lot of air miles! I'd say that the most jet-set thing that I do is that I never book anything in advance, I just decide on the day. So I just ring up with a few hours to spare and go!
What's a typical day in your life?
A typical day for me is such a hard thing to describe because I'm always doing something different. One day I might be nursing a hangover and then meeting mates for lunch. Whereas another day I might be working from 7 until 7. It's rather hard to describe as my life is terribly unpredictable!
What do you spend your money on?
My favourite clothing brand would be Hermes. It's one of my Mums favourites so I've grown to love it too. But I also shop in Ralph Lauren, Zili, Topman and Brooks Brothers. I love shopping on Bond Street mostly. All my favourite shops are there. However, you honestly cannot beat Harrods! There's everything you need in one store. One of my most embarrassing moments was when my card got declined there. So I rang up the card company and it turned out my Mum had put a limit on it... Luckily, I had my debit card so all was well.
Where is your favourite place to jet off to?
My favourite place abroad is anywhere with snow! I love to ski, and so does my family. My brother and I always hit the slopes before Christmas and after new year. I would love to visit Africa. I've never been and I'd love to go on a safari or something like that.
Where would you take someone on a date?
On a date I'd go to Cecconi's in Burlington Gardens. It's great! Amazing food and their Grey Goose cocktails are incredible!
Where do you like to go on a night out?
My favourite place to eat in London is Home House. I also Love Nobu, they have great food and a wonderful view. After that, my favourite place to go out is Mahiki. The best nights I've had have always been at Mahiki! I also love Amika, the Rose Club, Maddox and Shoreditch House. But if I'm honest, I prefer a quiet night in to anything else! Just a few friends and a lot of booze is good enough for me.
What do you like about London?
London is such a special city! Not only thanks to its wealth of breathtaking architecture and amazing night life, but because there is always something happening and there is always somewhere to go, at any time of the day. I'm not from London, but I spent a lot of time here as a child. My family have a wonderful home in the countryside - it's a great place to go and relax if you're ever stressed! When I came with my family, we used to stay in the Ritz. I practically grew up in the Trafalgar Suite. Also... it's right by Mahiki! When I'm in London nowadays, I stay between Primrose Hill and Hadley Wood. I have friends who live in both areas so it's great to be close to them. Overall, I'd say my favourite place in London is Westminster. I love being near the water and just looking at the lights. It's a beautiful place.
What do you do when you're not working?
My hobbies are tennis, rowing and shooting. I also like a little fishing from time to time. I also like general pop music. Most stuff in the charts. Hip-hop and classical music too. A rather strange mix. A while back, I went to an Ed Sheeran gig. It was a small performance in London. He's an amazing artist.
What's next for Charlie Mills?
I'll probably carry on with my current job. But in the future I'd like to be working for one of my families companies.
